Frequently Asked Questions
What are your infection control procedures?
You can review our risk assessment and infection control procedures on our website.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, phone 020 8520 5268 or call into the clinic and one of our reception team will make an appointment for you. Sometimes we can accommodate walk ins, but to avoid disappointment we advise you to book in advance. We will always try to see emergency cases on the same day.
We cannot make appointments via email, please phone us to arrange an appointment or book online.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive on time for your appointment. Do not arrive early as due to social distancing we have very limited space in our waiting area.
What if I arrive late for my appointment?
The length of your appointment will be reduced so that the next appointment is not delayed and no discount can be given.
What happens during my appointment?
Your appointment time includes a brief consultation with your therapist where they will discuss your health and the proposed treatment. They may also spend some time on examination. Your appointment also includes time for dressing and undressing so we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing and shoes which are easy to remove. After your treatment your therapist will provide some aftercare advice.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Ashlins has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged 100% of the treatment cost.
Can I request a male or female therapist?
Yes, subject to availability. We will do our best to accommodate such requests.
What do I need to wear?
This varies according to the treatment.
Please check with reception when booking your appointment. For most treatments you will be required to undress down to your underwear. You may wish to wear comfortable shorts and a t-shirt or vest.
Can I buy Gift Vouchers?
Yes starting from £5, our vouchers are valid for use for six months from date of purchase and are available from our Reception team or online.
Can I have treatment whilst I am pregnant?
Yes, usually. You will need to check at booking stage, remember to tell reception how many weeks pregnant you are.
Can children be treated?
Yes, children are very welcome at the clinic but please check when you book.
How many treatments will I need?
This will depend on your particular case, and should be discussed with your therapist.
How can I pay for my treatment?
You can pay by card or contactless payment. We do not accept cheques.
