Personal training combines anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and training principles with coaching skills, to provide clients with effective programmes and strategies to achieve their fitness goals.
Examples of fitness goals a PT can help a client achieve are:
- fat loss;
- muscle building;
- strength gain;
- power gain;
- endurance gain;
- posture improvement.
A PT supports clients in setting realistic goals, to be achieved within a short to medium timeframe (typically 4 to 12 weeks), as well as with: a detailed training programme; nutrition guidance; and
behaviour change strategies, to ensure such goals are easily achieved.
