Personal training combines anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and training principles with coaching skills, to provide clients with effective programmes and strategies to achieve their fitness goals.

Examples of fitness goals a PT can help a client achieve are:

  •  fat loss;
  •  muscle building;
  •  strength gain;
  •  power gain;
  •  endurance gain;
  •  posture improvement.

A PT supports clients in setting realistic goals, to be achieved within a short to medium timeframe (typically 4 to 12 weeks), as well as with: a detailed training programme; nutrition guidance; and
behaviour change strategies, to ensure such goals are easily achieved.

Whether a client has a clear goal in mind, or they just want to get into the best shape of their life, a PT is the right fitness professional to assist them.
