Sports massage is the use of a range of massage techniques and exercises to aid recovery from sporting injuries.
Massage therapists undergo a period of extra study in order to treat sporting injuries. This enables them to recognise common injuries, understand how they may have been caused, their likely recovery time and the required treatment.
While our therapists are able to aid recovery from a sports injury, we always recommend seeking medical advice in the event of serious injury
What should I expect during my treatment?
Your appointment time includes a consultation with your therapist where they will discuss your health and the proposed treatment. They may also spend some time on examination.
Your appointment also includes time for dressing and undressing so we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing and shoes which are easy to remove. After your treatment, your therapist will provide some aftercare advice.
