How do you choose the right massage therapist for you?

things-to-look-for-massage-

Here are 5 things to look for:

– Qualifications & Credentials

Most massage therapists will have a diploma in holistic massage with further qualifications in more specific techniques. Some will have an ITEC or BTEC diploma.

Ask your therapist which qualifications they have and where they studied.

Check our therapist bios for qualification details.

– Insurance

All therapists should have malpractice insurance and all clinics should have public liability insurance.

At Ashlins every therapist is fully insured for the therapies they offer.

– Recommendations

Can you find reviews from previous clients? An established and reputable massage therapist should be able to show you reviews and testimonials from happy clients.

Ask your friends and neighbours to recommendation a good therapist.

– Professional Body Membership

Membership of a professional body such as MTI, FHT, or CNHC demonstrates a commitment to continued learning (CPD) and to a standard of practice and ethics.

We require all of our therapists to be members of a relevant professional body.

– A Genuine Interest in Helping You

Look for a therapist who is friendly and a good listener. They should listen carefully to your problem and explain how they can help. You should feel comfortable with your therapist and be able to trust them.

For more information on our massage therapists, see their profiles or call us on 020 8520 5268.
