We are fortunate to have an excellent and well respected massage team here at Ashlins.  We check that each of them is suitably qualified and insured before they join  so that you can get the best quality care.
What is a suitable massage qualification?
In the UK there is no legal requirement or standard for massage training so this can be a bit of a grey area.  However, there are standards set by voluntary bodies and insurers for the industry.
Here at Ashlins we look for a Diploma in Holistic Massage as a minimum requirement.  This is typically a level 3 qualification from a course accredited by CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council) or a level 4 qualification from Massage Training Institute.  Many massage therapists have BTEC or ITEC diplomas in Holistic Massage.
Other types of massage qualifications are usually done after completing a diploma in massage. Â They can vary in length and nature but will usually result in a certificate or diploma from a recognised school.
Sports Massage qualifications are usually a BTEC or ITEC diploma, level 3 or above.
Many of our massage therapists train with Quantum Metta School of Massage.
