Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system and works to control fluid levels in our cells. Lymph fluid is an important part of our immune system as it contains white blood cells and carries bacteria to lymph nodes where they are destroyed.
While your blood is pumped to your cells by the heart, movement of lymph relies on pressure changes within the body and muscles contraction to be moved.
Lymphatic drainage massage aims to promote the movement of lymphatic fluid hence provide optimal conditions for the lymphatic system to operate.
What should I expect during my treatment?
Your appointment time includes a consultation with your therapist where they will discuss your health and the proposed treatment. They may also spend some time on examination.
Your appointment also includes time for dressing and undressing so we recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing and shoes which are easy to remove. After your treatment, your therapist may provide some aftercare advice.
