Continuing our series of Q&As, today we’re getting to know Sarah Oliver who is an Osteopath here at Ashlins.
Name: Â Sarah Oliver
What therapies do you offer?
I’m an Osteopath with a special interest in treating frozen shoulders, and back and neck pain.  I am a master practitioner of Niel-Asher Technique for shoulder problems, which I have been using successfully for over a year now.
When and where did you train?
I have a Bachelors in Osteopathic Medicine and diplomas in Osteopathy and Naturopathy from British College
of Osteopathic Medicine in North London. I qualified in 2008 after 4 years of studying.
I’m registered with the General Osteopathic Council and am a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
Why did you decide to become a Osteopath?
I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and wanted a deeper understanding of how it worked. Â I also wanted to be able to apply that knowledge in a practical and useful way. Â Osteopathy is the perfect combination! Â It is also a safe, natural therapy with a growing evidence base.
Many conditions respond very well to Osteopathy. Â It is a joy and a privilege to be able to improve quality of life and reduce pain with my treatments.
Describe your therapy in 10 words:
Stretches joints and muscles. Not as much clicking as you think!
Tell us a joke:
How many tickles does it take to make an octopus laugh? Ten tickles!
 Thank you Sarah!
