Did you know that dehydration can cause headaches, loss of concentration, tiredness.

Thirst is often one of the last signs of dehydration, so by the time you’re gasping for a drink it is probably too late to shift that pesky headache.

5 ways to drink more water

Here are 5 ways to consume more fluid, and feel fresher and brighter.

  1. Flavour your Water Not everyone loves the taste of plain water but there are plenty of natural ways to make things more interesting.  Try adding slices of lemon, lime, mint & cucumber, strawberry or orange.
  2. Have it Warm Try hot water with lemon or a caffeine free herbal tea.  My favourite is redbush but you could try peppermint, chamomile, nettle or fruit teas.
  3. Alternate Coffee with Water It’s easy to get stuck in a cycle of drinking coffee after coffee.  Have a glass of water after each mug and you’ll stay hydrated all day!
  4. Keep a Bottle of Water on your Desk

If it’s in front of you all day, it’s easy to remember.  For extra points you can mark on the volume you should drink each hour.

  5.  There’s an App for That
There are plenty of apps to help you stay hydrated. Android: Hydro Coach, Water Drink Reminder, Drink Water.  ITunes: Waterlogged, Daily Water.
