Here at Ashlins we are in love with mulled apple juice.  It smells and tastes amazing, it is fantastically warming and makes a non-alcoholic alternative to mulled wine and cider.

Try this easy recipe.

 

Ingredients: 

1l apple juice

Strips of orange peel

1 cinnamon stick

3 cloves

Sugar or honey to taste

Optional extras:  5cm piece of ginger, slice of lemon

 

Method: 

1. Put all of the ingredients in a pan and simmer for 5-10 minutes.

2. Add sugar or honey to taste.

3. Serve warm, with a garnish of cinnamon stick and orange peel.

You can also make this recipe in a slow cooker – just combine the ingredients and leave n medium heat for around 2 hours.
