Here at Ashlins we try to be a responsible and sustainable local business. A big part of that is managing our environmental impact.
We try really hard to keep waste to a minimum. We’re reducing our use of paper and we reuse scrap paper wherever possible. We try to choose equipment that will last and we repair rather than replace whenever we can.
We also recycle as much as we can. With the help of First Mile we recycle 71% of our waste. Over the past 12 months this equates to 7 trees worth of paper! First Mile use non-recyclable waste to produce electricity and during the past year we have produced 138 kilowatt hours of electricity.
