Our multi-talented acupuncturist Sally is leading a free workshop on natural pain relief in childbirth.
Safe, non invasive and easy to learn, acupressure can be used by pregnant women and their birthing partners to promote natural, straight forward and efficient labour.
Acupressure is based on the same principles as acupuncture but uses fingers and thumbs rather than needles. Get familiar with specific acupressure points and techniques so you’ll be ready to use them when labour begins.
Acupressure is not a substitute for medical intervention but if used in the early stages of labour it may mean there is no need to progress to medical pain relief.
Plus: find out how acupuncture and shiatsu can help with common ailments that can accompany pregnancy like morning sickness, back ache, carpel tunnel and turning a baby in breech position.
When: 10.30am – 12.30pm Wednesday 4th March
