Here is part 4 of our series of interviews the therapy team at Ashlins. Today we’re talking to Rita, who is our homeopath.
Name: Rita Smith
What therapies do you offer?
Homeopathy is my therapy of choice but I do use Bach flower essences and Australian Bush flower essences as part of some treatment plans as they complement Homeopathic medicine so well.
When and where did you train?
I did a 4 year course at the College of Homeopathy and on qualifying I registered with the Society of Homeopaths. I have been practising for 10 years.
Why did you decide to become a Homeopath?
I was very concerned about my son’s health and as a last resort I took him to see a Homeopath. From the first consultation his health began to improve and from then I was ‘ hooked’. All the family have been treated Homeopathically since then. My Homeopath at that time encouraged me to study this system of medicine and I haven’t looked back since.
Describe Homeopathy in 10 words:
It’s a safe and gentle, dynamic and holistic, system of medicine.
Tell us a joke:
Q. Why did the tomato turn red?
A. Because he saw the salad dressing. HaHa (the old ones are the best!)
