Human Givens Counsellor and Psychotherapist
Jim (HG.Dip.P, BA Hons, ETSI, MHGI) is a member of the Human Givens Institute and is enrolled on the Institute’s professional register, which is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care (PSA).
The human givens approach is also supported by Primary Care Mental Health Education (Primhe), affiliated with the Royal College of General Practitioners. Jim gained the Human Givens Diploma with distinction in 2015.
Jim has over 30 years’ experience as a trainer, coach, manager and teacher in settings ranging from language schools and a major British environmental charity to the care and support branch of one of the UK’s largest housing
associations. He joined the Ashlins’ team in 2016 and continues to teach a variety of communication and self-management courses.
Jim is practised at helping people find the resources they need to gain emotional balance, relief from distress and practical solutions to difficulties. He can help with depression, panic attacks, phobias, post-traumatic stress, addiction (all kinds), anxiety, diminished self- confidence, self-harming, eating disorders, poor concentration, sleep disorders and more.
